Privacy policy

académie (KAGEDEV) respects your privacy. This page describes what data we collect, why, how long we keep it, and your rights.
Data we collect
Identity and profile (name, email — provided by your KAGEDEV account), course data (progress, quiz and assignment grades, certificates), and payment data processed by our payment provider (académie never stores your bank details).
Purpose
Providing access to courses and mentoring, computing progress and issuing certificates, processing payments and paying out instructor commissions, and — with your consent — measuring site audience.
Sub-processors
Supabase (authentication), our payment provider pay.kagedev.org, Bunny Stream (video hosting), an S3-compatible storage provider (documents), our hosting provider (Plesk), and — for AI-assisted grading of open quiz questions, when an instructor enables it — Anthropic PBC (United States), via the Claude API. The text of the question, the reference answer, and the learner's answer is then sent to it. This transfer outside the European Union relies on standard contractual clauses.
Retention
Account and course data are kept for as long as your account is active. Accounting data (invoices, commissions) is kept per applicable legal retention periods, even after account deletion.
Your rights
You can review and change your consents, and request account deletion, from your personal space (the dashboard's "Privacy" page). You can also contact us directly to exercise your access, rectification, or portability rights.
Cookies
Essential cookies (login session) are always active — they are required for the site to work. Audience measurement cookies are only set with your consent, changeable at any time from your personal space.
